LOCATION

Facility

This historic deckhouse, secluded on a bluff overlooking the Kings River Valley, was built as a retreat by the Liedtke family of Houston in 1970. Complementing the deckhouse are two updated bungalows nestled in the woods on either side of the main lodge. All accommodations include modern amenities but maintain their original charm.

Location

This secluded retreat is nestled amongst a vast forest area, high above the King's River. Sit and enjoy the view from the deck (you may even be lucky to watch the bald eagles soar around the area), or follow the trail from the main house to wander through the trees. Owned by the Arkansas Nature Conservancy, this beautiful lodge supports the Nature Conservancy's ongoing conservation efforts of the King's River.

Just one month after the retreat, they were given a unique opportunity to return to Colorado and learn about the transformative work of facilitating personal growth and healing through the guidance of horses. They both picked up from their hometown of Springfield, MO and moved out west to explore and participate in this new pursuit. In 2018, they were compelled to bring this practice home. They now support people in finding their own powerful life shifts and outcomes through equine healing principles, energy work, and other holistic practices. Their services include private and co-facilitated sessions with both individuals and groups.
